On a secret trip to the pearl of the meditarannean, Taormina, Italy - Sameer got down on one knee and asked the all important question, 'will you marry me'.

What followed wasn’t just a “yes,” but the beginning of a new chapter — built on the back of 12 years of love, patience, growth, and a story still unfolding..
2025
2015
It began with a teary goodbye.
​
Aanchal left for the UK, starting her journey in Surrey. Sameer followed suit shortly after - plagued by the emptiness left by Aanchal's departure, and decided to embark on his own path in Manchester - cutting the long distance between them from a staggering 11,000 km to a mere 350 km.
​
And just like that, what had started in Kuala Lumpur was now stretched across an exciting new location for the both of them - the United Kingdom.
​
But in between came the quieter parts. The waiting, the late-night calls, the effort it took to stay close while life pulled them in different directions.
​
Nevertheless, alongside the struggles, came unparalleled new experiences and growth for the both of them, as they developed new shared hobbies, experienced new foods, landscapes, and seasons together.
(About time. I know — even we were losing patience scrolling. But we’re almost there… it’s been a long journey LOL)

An opportunity brought them back to a place that already held so many memories -echoes of their university days, but this time, different.
​
No longer students, no longer limited by budgets or distance, we stepped into a new phase of life - building a home together.
And just like that, long distance became a thing of the past.
​
Between grocery runs, everyday routines, and the occasional arguments - Sameer’s shoes never quite making it back to the shoe cabinet, and Aanchal taking too long to get ready, they found their rhythm. And more importantly, they built something that finally felt like home.
​
This chapter became one of quiet, beautiful firsts - exploring Europe together, hosting friends and family in their new home, and learning what it really means to build a life side by side.

2023
2021
As university came to an end, a new chapter began.
Sameer was a couple of years into his career in Malaysia, whilst Aanchal had just got an exciting new job in Singapore, - and just like that, they greeted long distance as an old friend.
​
For a moment, it felt like the universe was testing them again. At one point it even summoned a flood to try and stop us (for real we are not joking- see the bottom picture!).
Shuttling back and forth for both became a monthly affair for either one of them - and Singapore/Malaysia became the backdrop for perfect weekend escapes -
sunlit days, coastal retreats, and time that felt fleeting but full.
These years weren’t about discovery anymore,
but about knowing -
that no matter the distance, they would always find their way back to each other.
2012
Our story began in 2012, where two sixteen-year-olds, exchanged glances across a humid Kuala Lumpur evening, unaware of what was to come.
2023
We embarked on a new chapter of our lives and moved back to the United Kingdom.

What followed was a whirlwind of instant messages and endless late-night conversations. From secret dates at 1 Utama, and picnics in Lake Gardens - a quiet, growing connection began to take shape.
What started as something playful, yet full of butterflies, soon became something far more meaningful - the beginning of a journey that would last a lifetime.
